All 43 traders arrested on terror charges released

Islamabad: The Special Judge Anti Terrorism Court Sakhi Muhammad Kahoot has released all forty-three traders held over charges of terrorism on bail. In response, the traders of Islamabad have called off the strike that had paralysed city since Saturday last.

At the occasion, Chaudhry Kashif, Central Organising Secretary Traders Action Committee (TAC), Malik Sohail Hussain, VP NTA, President Traders Welfare Association (TWA), Blue Area, former SVP ICCI and Advisor TAC, Ijaz Abbasi, former president Islamabad Chamber of Commerce and Industry, Qamar Abbasi, Mian Maqbool and Ikhlaq Abbasi spoke to the large number of traders who had come to the court.

They paid rich tributes to the traders who endured the loss for the cause of community. The speakers said that they would continue to strive for the cause and would not rest until just tenancy act has been imposed.

“Traders would never accept unequal law which helps one party and goes against another,” said Malik Sohail.

They thanked political leadership, leaders of lawyers’ community, superior judiciary, administration and police for diffusing the situation skilfully and assured full cooperation in future.

Those who were released include Ajmal Baloch, President Abpara Market, Khalid Mehmood, General Secretary Jinnah Super, Mirza Ghulam Hussain, General Secretary G.10 and Shakil Abbasi, General Secretary, Peshawar Moor.

Ch. Kashif and Malik Sohail lauded the role of leader of the house in Senate Syed Nayyar Hussain Bokhari, MNAs, Tariq Fazal Chaudhry, Aqeel Anjum Khan and former MNA Mian Aslam.

The were all prise to Barrister Aitzaz Ehsan, Athar Minallah, President Islamabad Bar Association Niaz ullah Niazi, Riasat Ali Azad, Qazi Razwan uddin Babar, Inam Amin and Rizwan Abbasi Advocate.

The role of Chief Commissioner Fazeel Asghar, DC Asad ullah Faiz and ADCG Rana Akbar Hayat remained positive during the negotiations.

Mian Maqbool, Majeed Abbasi, Shafique Abbasi, Sheikh Haroon, Ch. Khalid Mehmood, Zaka Qadri, Iftikhar Shahzada, Ch. Abdul Khalique, Ch. Obaid, Chairman TAC Salahuddin Khan, Sheikh Ahmed, Raja Baseer, Malik Rab Nawaz and Obaid Abbasi.

Later Malik Sohail formally announced to end strike and assured traders for every sacrifice in future for the defence of community.
