Islamabad (Pak PRwire): Government of Pakistan have decided to celebrate Iqbal Day falling on Monday, the 9th November, 2009 in the following manner:-
i). General Public Holiday throughout Pakistan on 9th November, 2009 (Monday)
ii). Special Programme will be telecast and broadcast by the Radio Pakistan/TV Station on the life, ideas and achievements fof Allamad Iqbal.
iii). Hoisting of the National Flag on Principal Government Buildings throughout the country.
iv). Scout rallies and March Past of School Children.
v). Mounting of ceremonial guard at the Mazar of Allama Iqbal.
vi). Special exhibition of books and relics of Allama Iqbal at Iqbal Museum, Lahore, National Museum, Karachi and Iqbal Manzil, Sialkot.
vii). An exhibition relating to Iqbal’s painting/works at Aiwan Iqbal, Lahore.
viii). Screening of documentary films on Iqbal in Cinema Houses.
ix). Books exhibition on Iqbal by the Iqbal Academy, Lahore.
