Karachi: Almighty Allah has blessed Pakistan with efficient and hard working man power who have proved their worth where ever they have worked, If 100% home remittances are channelized through official channels, the remittance amount will be doubled and we will not be needing begging bowl any more, This was stated by President of Indo-Pak Chamber of Commerce & Industry and a prominent leader of business community of Pakistan Mr. S.M. Muneer while addressing in launching ceremony of television program “Potential of Pakistan” held in FPCCI Headquarters in Karachi. Mr. Muneer further said that giving 1% incentive to receivers through home remmittence will encourage all expatriats to use official channels which can increase the home remmittences more then 2 folds.
In his presidential address Mr. Sultan Ahmed Chawla, President FPCCI said that the Government of Pakistan must enhance its efforts for exporting man power from Pakistan which will reduce unemployment and increase home remmittences to increase our foreign exchange reserves which is around US$ 7 Bn presently. He said we are full of potential and it is time for us to explore and expose the Potential of Pakistan.
Explaining about program “Potential of Pakistan” the Marketing Director of the project and member of FPCCI’s CSR Committee Mr. Mehmood Arshad said Almighty Allah has blessed Pakistan with large number of resources and potential and we have prepared program and every episode of potential of Pakistan will expose potential of different sector like Textile, Surgical Goods and other products, He further said that keeping in view of program’s target market it will be in english language and later on recorded CDs of different episodes will be sent to Pakistani Commercial Attaches round the globe to supplement in their endeavors of marketing Pakistani products and further more the website www.potentialofpakistan.com is also launched containing pages of 54 different exportable sectors and by optimizing the website the probability of coming on top when ever any of the name of sector from 54 sectors are put on any search engine which will increase inflow of trade inquiries by manifold from all four corners of the world.
Mr. Zakaria Usman & Mr. Mansha Chhurra, Vice Presidents of FPCCI in their speeches appreciated the efforts of producers for exploring and exposing the hidden potential of Pakistan in professional manner, The function was largly attended by the members of the business community, Chairman of Korangi Association of Trade & Industry, Chairmen of different trade associations and office bearers of FPCCI.
